Phase two is actually all testing. Once we get to Mars, we will figure out how to make water, oxygen, and food. I have figured out that 2H2 + O2 = 2H2O is the formula to how you make water. With the help of my team, we have created a tented area on mars where we will make water. After two weeks, we hope that we will have enough water for all of us for the next week or even longer. Next, we can't just eat our food on our spaceship, so we will start growing potatoes in our tented area. Half of the water we make we will drink. With the other half of our water we will start growing potatoes. Potatoes are a good plant to grow on mars because they can adapt to different climates. Also, there are over 4,500 varieties of potatoes. But, the best types of potatoes are Purple Viking, Yukon Gold, and Ruby Crescent. The dark colored potatoes like these are rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals.

These are the three types of potatoes that we will grow on mars. On the left, you will see Ruby Crescent potatoes. In the center, there are some Yukon Gold potatoes. Lastly, on the right there is some Purple Viking.

For phase three, we will start figuring out more ways to make different foods. Also, by this time, our spaceship might be low on oxygen so we will create more tents to make more oxygen (and grow more food). We are trying to make more foods peas since they were successfully tested in mimicked Mars soil. Also, we might start making some type of housing out of our spaceship since our spaceship might be low on oxygen, there is no use to keep the spaceship. Or we could make it with some sort of rock or concrete. The engineer and I have figured out a stage one housing that might look a little something like the picture on the right. In the picture, there are little rooms that connect by a small hallway. For example, one room could be a bedroom which connects into your bathroom. Or, one room could be you kitchen which might connect to the family/play room. This is just before we improve in our housing styles. Also, we have created a lab that collects samples that our rover gets.

ConcreteFor our concrete we have replaced the water for sulfur and the gravel for Mars soil. That will conclude to an even stronger concrete because the sulfur responds chemically to something inside the Mars soil.

For phase four we will improve our housing development, create some sort of oxygen station to refill oxygen, and we will keep growing foods. Next phase, we will start getting more takers to come to mars. So, we will prepare more housing, enough food, enough water, and enough oxygen tank refills to keep about 20 more people surviving. We will add tomatoes, rye, radishes, leeks, spinach, garden rockets, cress, quinoa, and chives to our farm menu under the tent. By this time, we will probably have a room with water bags full with water in it. Also, our charter is going to be enforced to all of these people.

Phase 20 is a huge step. It is important because that is when we have our city full with people. We have a great system for housing that looks something like the picture. We choose this housing because it is rounded. Rounded is better because it is more structurally stable, and an advantage in thermal insulation. Plus, since they are not huge, we can have a ton of them in our covered creator. Plus, our creator is covered and tested. We have oxygen tanks all around our city, and if there was an emergency the houses are not able to fall over because they are connected to the ground. So far, there has been no emergencies on mars. But, we are expecting a sand storm soon. We have gone around and looked at all the homes. We have been growing none stop, because we are not sure what might happen to the growing tents because they are not super stable. As we are growing our food we are equally handing it out to the people on Mars.
|
In phase 21, we will create attractions in our city. In our covered creator, we have built several malls that are filled with all different shops. Some shops carry different clothing, toys, and we even support food for the food court. The clothing on Mars is just like the clothing on Earth, but we also have mandatory spacesuits for emergency. We have made parks with trees because trees are good for breathing oxygen. Some day, we might even create some no gravity fun houses. The opportunities are endless. The pictures you see on the right are either parks or malls we wan tours to look like.
